You can print these game instructions by pressing P. The game found on this disk is an example of a free item given away by companies (in this case Stanwood Associates) to promote their products. You must have an EGA or a VGA monitor to play. If you do not have an EGA or VGA monitor the game will not work. If you install (or have installed) Compufreebies to your hard disk, after reading these instructions, press the ESC key to exit and go to your DOS prompt or file manager. You should see this: c:\freeb4 Simply type airlift to start. But please read this entire document before playing the game. If you do not have a hard drive you must follow the instructions below. On this shareware disk that you've purchased is a file called DISK1.EXE. Copy the file DISK1.EXE to another floppy disk (or to your hard drive if you have one). You MUST copy this file to another diskette or hard drive or else the game will not work. Now go to the disk or hard drive where you copied the file Disk1.exe. Type the folllowing: disk1 Press enter. After a few seconds type the following: airlift Each time you want to play the game type airlift and press enter. Make sure your NUM LOCK key on your keyboard is pressed. To exit AIRLIFT at any time during the game, press Q. You will automatically go back to Compufreebies main menu. If you do not automatically get back to the Compufreebies main menu, at your DOS prompt simply move to where Compufreebies was installed and type START. If for some reason your cursor has dissapeared simply type as you normally would. The letters will appear on screen. Please look at CompuFreebies first before playing the game. Many of you may be used to some great games out there. This is definitely not the best but is OK. It was included mainly to show that there are some fun surprises available on demo disks which companies give away free. Strategy : The prime objective is to save prisoners who are missing in action, M.I.A.'s. They are being held in the prisons in the neutral zone between enemy territory and your homeland. It may be rough with tanks, rockets and other threats trying to halt you mission. You can break hostages out of prisons by either firing a missile at it or bombing it. Then you can land and pick up the men and bring them home. To get to the next level you must save at least ten hostages. Be careful, as you complete more missions the enemy catches on and may send other enemy crafts after you. Things to Remember : * You can only carry six(6) M.I.A.'s on board at any one time. * Two players are more fun than one. * Bombing near your own base can confuse you with the enemy, possibly leading to your being shot down. * Rockets will destroy anything in their way. Enclosed on this demo disk were four product samples. 1) Operation:Airlift - A full screen scrolling video game, which uses the ProGraphx Toolbox icon routines. Complete source code to this product is enclosed with the ProGraphx Toolbox. 2) VEGAS CARDS - A video poker game used as a demo at COMDEX.
